At the event, Laura Trott and Bim Afolami outlined their three-point plan to boost economic activity in the UK’s university towns and cities through the creation of new Accelerator Zones. They were joined by Lord Jim O’Neill, Vice-Chair of the Northern Powerhouse Partnership and former Treasury Minister, and Dr David Cleevely CBE FREng, highly successful investor and entrepreneur and founding Director of the Cambridge University Centre for Science and Policy.
