Our Ask the Expert series brings academic research on public policy into the heart of Westminster.
In this talk, Dr Simon Usherwood will consider how the referendum and Brexit fit into a bigger picture of euroscepticism, both in the UK and across Europe. This includes reflections on how the issue of a referendum was placed on the political agenda, how eurosceptics fitted into the campaigning, and what options now stand open to them. He will also consider the implications of all of this for the upcoming General Election.
