Speaker:
Professor Diane Coyle, Professor of Economics, University of Manchester
Diane Coyle is Professor of Economics at the University of Manchester. Until earlier this year she was vice chair of the BBC Trust, having been a member of the Trust since 2007.
Professor Coyle will outline her perspective on the questions raised about the BBC’s future by the Charter Review. What should be the purpose of the BBC in a more competitive and specialised marketplace? What implications does that have for the funding of the BBC and how it operates?
