In this event we were joined by John Penrose who made the case for a sovereign wealth fund for the UK,and exploring what a new fiscal framework for the UK should look like.
The panel discussed the role of fiscal policy in providing support to the economy in the short-term, and in providing a long-term framework for investment in the country’s future. John will be joined by the SMF’s chief economist Nida Broughton.
The event will be chaired by the Independent’s economics editor Ben Chu.
