Chris Percy is a data scientist working primarily on career trajectories, school-to-work transitions, and economic development, with recent publications for the OECD and the ILO. As a consultant, he has worked with diverse governments and organisations including the World Bank, the Royal Society, Rolls Royce, Jaguar Land Rover, the Open University, and Kings College London.
Chris is a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Derby, having studied Economics at Birkbeck College and Chinese Studies at the University of Cambridge. Recent public-facing work includes presenting on algorithmic bias at AAAI’s AI for Social Good symposium, on Explainable AI at the European Conference on AI (ECAI), on career guidance systems across the devolved UK nations and Cedefop, and on career trajectories in Channel 4’s three-part social experiment documentary “When I Grow Up”.
