Sam is a Senior Researcher at the SMF. Before joining, he was a Senior Research Fellow at Bright Blue, where he wrote reports on a variety of topics including tax reform, self-employment and pensions policy. He has been published in a number of national media outlets including The Times, The Express and City AM. Prior to that, he worked in Parliament at the Policy Research Unit, writing research briefings for MPs. Sam studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Leeds.
